My lighting cable is rusted within warranty period, is it possible as I am using it on daily basis?

Today I had visited apple authorized service centre to get help with the charging issue in my Iphone 7Plus.

The guy at reception told me that your cable pins are rusted and we dont provide warranty in such case. Sorry to say, but i had not expected this from such brand.

So if your cable is bad buy a new one. Apple sells them and you can also find 3rd parties that build them to apple standards. I personally like Anker but thats me. That and i have about 8 apple lightning cables still in boxes from other buys. Just look for cables that are Mfi certified
