Question: "Network Error Can't Connect"

My neighbor is having issues with her phone and asked me to help. She doesn't go online and doesn't know how to follow directions from tech support. I can help her reset the network, but she may lose her passwords and doesn't remember them all. Are there other options to reset the network? Thanks in advance. 🙂

Before you reset the networks, try to access the router setup menu and copy down the password for the network.

If your neighbor is not terribly comfortable with tech issues, the password for the router itself is probably the default value which you can find by doing an Internet search for the make and model.

The carrier tried to fix the phone, but said it must be on Apple's end, since the carrier couldn't fix the problem.

Sorry, my mistake, I thought you were talking about wifi networks.

Does your neighbor know the Apple ID associated with the phone and just does not remember the password?
