is predictive text available for mail and messages in OS Sierra?

I have had shoulder surgery and am only able to use my nondominant arm/hand for an extended period. I have looked at how I can turn on predictive text in my mac mail and in Messages but can only find info for autocorrect, which is not what I am looking for. Can anyone tell mevif this is possible?
