Since updating to IOS11.1.1, I cannot hear incoming or outgoing calls on Apple Carplay in my Hyundai Tucson. I can use all other functions without problems. I have tried re-starting my Iphone 7 but this makes no difference.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I see from your post that you're having trouble hearing calls while using CarPlay in your Hyundai Tucson. I know how important it is to be able to safely make calls in your vehicle. I am happy to help.

Restarting your iPhone was a great troubleshooting step. There are a few more things you can try, as well, including trying a different certified cable, and checking with Hyundai to see if your SUV needs an update:

Get help

If CarPlay doesn't work like you expect, here’s what you can check. After each step, try using CarPlay again.

Make sure that Siri is turned on.

Restart your iPhone and your car. Depending on your car, you might see the CarPlay Home screen when you turn it on. If you don't, look for the CarPlay logo on your car’s display.

If possible, connect your iPhone to a different USB port in your car.

Try a different Lightning to USB cable. Make sure that the cable is certified.

Update to the latest version of iOS.

Check your car’s manual for help. You might need to install firmware updates for your stereo.
