Question: Creating a Chart from an existing Table in PAGES v6.3.1

Hello:

Is it possible, having created a table using the table tool in Pages and entered data, to create a chart using data from this table? Example below:

User uploaded file

The proposed method in Help* seems somewhat clunky & the data used in the chart does not show in the Pages document unless it is re-entered in a table.

Am I missing something? Thanks for any enlightenment.

* (The Help function shows how to add charts to Pages, but by means of a Chart Data editor which appears when the place holder chart --obtained by selecting the chart button in the Toolbar-- is clicked and the "Edit Chart Data" button in turn appears.)

Thank you Peter.

Manual copying & pasting aside —which was used to create the example shown, and is behind my use of the term ‘clunky’— the answer is ‘No’ at its starkest or, more gently, ‘not really’. Oh well...

Thank you again for taking the time & trouble to reply. Much appreciated.
