why is my iphone 6S running so slow?

I have an iPhone 6S and have tried to reset phone, clear history. Even dialing out on the phone is so slow that the #s in my contacts say “maybe” then the name. Web search-everything has slowed since getting the 11.1.1 update.

The worst Apple will do is take this discussion down, but that hurts you, not me. When you do finally decide to try my suggestion, you’ll wish you had just started with that instead of making this dramatic scene.

You say my iPhone 6s may be corrupt after the things I have done. My next question for you is “why is EVERYONE else having the same problem?” My husband has same iPhone 6S and it began to get SLOW a while back and he has called and went in for help. All they wanted to do at store was sell him a “new better faster phone” yet no one could tell him what the issue was. We’ve been with Verizon since it was Cellular One however; At this point we are exploring our options with other carriers.

Look, if you don't want to actually try to fix the problem and just complain about it, go ahead. A lot of people have this issue every major iOS update because a vast majority of iPhone users restore their backup to their phone any time they do a reset.

I have an iPhone 6S and 5c that are both running well without issue. But why believe the people that actually fixed their issue? Why trust the engineers at Apple? Surely some random stranger complaining about phone performance degradation on the internet is more correct than the collective of minds that created the device and its operating system.

If the only thing you or your husband heard at the store was that you needed to buy a new phone, you didn't listen. Just like how you're not listening right now.

I hope you realize this isn’t an official Apple Support resource. It’s a forum community where ordinary people ask and answer questions. I’m not affiliated with or employed by Apple.

Go ahead and continue to focus on everything besides the perfectly legitimate answer you’ve been given. You’re the only one that will have a problem with it.
