imessage contact issues

I contacted apple support about an issue with imessage not displaying contact names appropriatly. They dont have much for inf;, but i got it fixed. i want to specify what exactly it was that corrected the problem. So, since its a problem with contacts and imessage you need to tinker inside the settings for both apps. In your contacts setting page you want to make sure you have the desired account displaying contacts. Mine was set to outlook, and i dont know why; so i swapped it back to icloud. I think this was the sole problem, but you need to go and check some settings in you imessage and make sure you have everything set to how you want them. when you are satisfied turn off imessage and turn it back on and it should fix the problem.
