when i try to get on the internet i keep getting a log in to apple.com

how do i stop the log in to captive apple.com from coming up every time I try to use the internet? i can't get on.

Hi Janetkjkjtt. When your iPad connects to WiFi, it issues an HTTP request for captive.apple.com. One of three things can then happen:

1. You're connected to the internet, captive.apple.com loads, and you never see it.

2. You're on a network that requires you to login on a webpage. The webpage appears, you login, and you're connected to the internet. captive.apple.com loads, and you never see it.

3. Your router is not connected to the internet, or is blocking apple.com URLs. captive.apple.com fails to load, and you see the screen you are seeing.


It sounds like you are in case 3. You need to review your router configuration, especially any firewall settings.
