Since updating my Sierra version, my regular email doesn't come to my inbox, it goes into the 'archive' box. I don't know what happened.

Is this a Gmail account? Gmail has it’s own special settings and does not follow normal IMAP setup. Gmail’s labels are folders in an email client. Gmail can assign multiple labels to one message in your browser but these will be multiple messages in your email client. A message in the Inbox also exists in All Mail appearing to be a duplicate.
If it's not Gmail....
What type of account(s)? (POP, IMAP, Exchange)
What Email Provider? Comcast, Earthlink, Cox, ATT, Yahoo, iCloud, AOL, Hotmail (other)
Check your Rules in Mail > Preferences and check Mailbox behaviors.
I'm sorry. I should have given you the email program. Yes. It's Gmail. I didn't change anything before or since the Sierra upgrade. It says that Gmail goes into 'All Mail' which should be my main 'Inbox', or at least it used to be. My comcast.net mail used to go the 'Inbox' too, but it is going to the 'Archive' folder.
