I have an apple watch, in this condition. the touch faceplate is partially dislodged from the housing. 499.99 Euros for a watch that didnt last 3 years?

I have an apple watch, in this condition. the touch faceplate is partially dislodged from the housing. the watch still worked and the touch screen worked and could be unlocked. made an appointment at the locate apple store. before my appointment the touch faceplate stopped working. at the bar appointment i was told to unpair from my watch and iphone. i was asked if my watch was under garantee, of course its not under garantee a first generation pre ordered apple watch. i was told that we could send the watch to repair at costs, but the broken faceplate could not be entered into the system. this malfunction did not exist. the options i was given are buy a new apple watch, or take a risk that myy watch be sent for repair with the fault description knowingly incorrect and have to pay for a repair for the wrong parts. there isnt a scratch on the watch faceplate surface, or the housing. the watch its self is still quite handsome, and it even works, except the faceplate does not respond and its loose but still connected. 499.99 Euros and 3 years later, not even a decent paper weight. As the advertisements for the new apple watch started my watch still worked and i still was interested in maybe getting the new one to keep up with the technologies. this service experience has me really bitter. i have 3 fossil watches and when my apple watch broke, for 11 euros a piece, i had the batteries replaced and was able to wear them after years. Was there something that apple service missed ?

Hi

Apple Watch is not user-serviceable and Apple does not offer a screen repair or screen replacement service for Apple Watch.

If the issue is not covered under warranty or any other Apple policy - be sure to ask, with specific reference to battery swelling issues with Apple Watch (1st generation) models - then your Apple Watch may be eligible for replacement via chargeable, out-of-warranty service - or via AppleCare+, if previously purchased.

I suggest that you contact Apple Support (mail-in service may be available, if required), make another Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider to arrange for your Apple Watch to be inspected and to establish your available service options, including asking the question referenced above:

I'm afraid that no-one here can intervene in your support case. (As you may be aware, you are not talking to Apple here - this is a user-based technical support community).

Note also that Apple advises that you should not continue using a damaged Apple Watch.
