Assuming you have it turned on it settings? Reboot your phone:

Press and quickly release the volume up button

Press and quickly release the volume down button

Press and hold the power button until the Apple Logo appears

See if tap to wake works when your phone comes back up.

Thanks but no luck after re-boot. Tried everything! It worked when I first got phone but stopped a couple days later. I have screen protector on but feature worked fine when first installed protector. All else functions properly with protector on - except for tap to wake.

Make an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar and let them evaluate the phone.
