Notes can not edit text in middle of note

After ios 11.1.1 can no longer go into an existing note and edit the text, it only allows text to be added or deleted from begining and end of note. Iphone 7 plus

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. It looks like no one has responded yet to your question. If you could provide the following information, it may help the community respond:
1. Is this only happening on notes that were created prior to the iOS 11.1.1 update, or does it happen with newly created notes as well?
2. Does this appear to be affecting all notes, or just some? If it is just some, does there appear to be any common factor between them?
3. How do you have Notes set up? Are you using Notes with iCloud to sync with other devices? Are you saving notes directly to your device, and/or are you using it with a different email/account type?

This is only happening on iOS11.1.1

It effects both new and old notes created in 11.1.1 and 11.0.3

My iPad is still using 11.0.3, and notes created on iPad function normally, but when trying to edit note on iphone iOS 11.1.1 the only area the note can be edited is the first line of the note. The cursor moves to other lines but unable to add or delete text as I can on the iPad iOS 11.0.3

New and old notes created on iPhone have same behavior, unable to edit text except on the first line.

Notes is setup with iCloud Sync with other devices.
