high sierra remaing battery time

High Sierra no longer displays the remaining battery life. Yosemite did this and I would like to know if anyone can tell me why Apple removed that feature?

This is a user-to-user support community, of which Apple product teams neither read, nor participate. No one here has an inside scoop from Apple Engineering about their product functionality decisions.

There are several inexpensive third-party applications in the Mac App Store that show battery time remaining in the menu bar. Search on battery time. Check the supported version of operating system, and reviews — before you purchase/download.

The option I was discussing is the time remaining not battery percentage. Strangle Apple has removed the convenient feature was existed in Yosemite but removed it from high sierra. But like dominc23 demonstrated the ability is still present but not convenient anymore.

It appears Apple is reducing Mac OS as ability. Why would they remove this simple feature that existed before?
