Iphone X calling (only on my end) is muffled and crackling

Suddenly today I was making a call when my end of the phone call sounded as if the other person on the line was on a radio. The sound is crackling/muffled and just sounds horrible. However those I have called said I sounded fine, so I know it is something wrong with my iPhone.
