My IMac (El Capitan OS) will not connect with wifi. I get full signal indicator and other devices work (Macbook air and IPhone) however my Safari will not load pages. I get the message "you are not connected to the internet".

IMac El Capitan OS 10.11.6 will not connect to wifi.

Further, if I use personal hotspot and connect using my phone - safari loads the pages and all works well.

Please help!

What does Wireless Diagnostics show?

Wi-Fi Problems in OS X Yosemite (2)

Wi-Fi Problems in OS X Yosemite (3)

Also try turning off Bluetooth.

If your Wi-Fi source is capable of generating a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network, try that to help avoid conflicts with Bluetooth.
