Sierra 12.6.3 corrupted: which new OS to install?
I have been informed that my late 2009 iMac, with 4GB Ram, 8GB memory and an Intel Duo Core processor 3.06 GHz will need to have a new operating system because of a corruption problem with Sierra version 10.12.3. In looking over the functionality of High Sierra I find that most of it's new features is of no interest or use to me, now or in the conceivable future. Among all of the problems new installers of the software are facing I have yet to see any address my issue, which is one of possible backward software compatibility issues with older software. Specifically I would like to be sure that MS Word 2011, Nikon Capture NX2 ver. 2.4.7, Nikon View NX2 ver. 2.9.2 64 bit, Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, Adobe Lightroom 5 ver. 5.7.1 64bit all work well with High Sierra. Has there been any feedback from new users of High Sierra regarding this issue? Would it perhaps be better to install the most recent version of Sierra instead? Thank you for any help you may be able to offer.
