Edit a Word document in split view

I need to edit a Word document while researching material in PDFs and on the web. If I put ms Word in split view, it doesn’t re-wrap the text to fit the split screen. If I want to see the whole line of text I have to zoom out, but then the text is really small. What I would like is a text editor or word processor that will wrap the text to fit the split view width. any App suggestions?
