Question: How to show last played thing when headphones are pluged in?

Hi,

I switch between four apps regularly to listen to things - podcasts, audible, iplayer radio, and tunein radio.

However when I plug in my headphones it always shows me the last thing i was listening to in podcasts, not the other apps.

For example if I'm listening to an audio book in audible, and I'm many hours into this book. When I come back to my iphone and plug my headphones in it shows me a podcast i was listening to on the lock screen a few days ago, not the audio book from an hour ago.

Similar to the other apps, if I'm listening to the bbc radio or tunin radio and put my phone down and pick it back up and plug in my headphones, it does the same, shows podcasts and not iplayer or tunein.

How do I make so when I plug in my headphones, the home screen show the last thing I was listening to?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.2

Not sure what "It" is. If you were on the Home Screen, the Home Screen should have remained.

I just tried to recreate your problem, with iTunes and Podcasts open, while listening to iTunes, with iTunes in the foreground, using Philips ear buds. My iPhone 7 remained kept iTunes in the foreground and the Control Center still showed the iTunes program being played.

Sounds like an installations glitch.
