Logic hanging on audio unit scan

Every time I open Logic (10.3.2) it always tries to scan the same audio unit plugin. Eventually it'll pass and all is ok. But when I restart Logic, the same thing happens again. The plugin is Arturia Spark 2 (latest version). For some reason I have 2 instances of it displayed in the plugin manager but I'm unable to get rid of one as the option to remove is greyed out (see screenshot).

I've removed the plugin from the components folder and Logic starts up with no problems. But as soon as the component is reinstalled.. same story all over again.

I've also reset the cache.. same problem.

Can anyone recommend a solution for this?
