is it safe to leave the adaptor connected with the electricity net?

Fire safety experts claim that an important cause of domestic fire incidents is the smart phone adaptor to load the battery. I use only apple adaptors and leave them connected to the electricity net and use during nighttime in my bedroom for both my iPhone 7 and my Applewatch. Am I causing any fire risks by this behavior?

Slight, no fire risk would be when they are not connected, any kind of connection increases the risk. Apple's adaptors are well made and properly rated for what they do, but to say that there is no risk is specious, there is. Having said that my adaptors are usually plugged into the ac supply for lengthy periods and nothing has caught fire yet.
