Unable to buy songs since upgrading to 12.7.1

I’m unable to purchase songs from iTunes since updating my iTunes to version 12.7.1 on my windows laptop. When I attempt to purchase songs, I key in my username, password and then click on the buy button in the pop up. iTunes attempts to access the iTunes Store for a while and then it stops and doesn’t download the song. I’ve tried several time with the same result.

I checked my view account details and the purchase isn’t showing.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?
