How do know if I have activated iCloud Storage Sharing with my wife? She is near her max of 5GB but I have 200GB, thanks

Hi (sorry im new to this site)

My wife is about to exceed her 50GB of Icloud Storage, I have the 200gb plan & would like to share it with her & maybe close her account to save a few pennies. How can I tell if I / we have activated sharing of my 200gb storage account? We already have Family Sharing, is this the same? Many thanks for your help.

MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12.6), null

If you’re already on Family Sharing, all she needs to do is change her 50 GB plan to the Family Storage Plan, which should now appear as an option for her.

Thank you for your reply, it now makes sense....

A couple of questions for you, once it's all set up & running I presume both my wife's & my Data are saved in one account (mine) but are separated. So should one of us ever need to do a restore from iCloud only that persons data will be down loaded?

To access the shared account myself would I use my normal log on details but what would my wife use?

Thanks for your help!
