iPhone x Charging

iPhone X is my first iPhone so I am learning. When I connect the phone to the wall charger how do you tell the rate the battery is charging? I usually turn my phone off when charging and see an image of a battery showing the level as it charges. Is there a way to do this with the iphone X? Thank you.

You can see battery percentage in Control Center.

Generally, you don’t have too “baby sit” the charging process - just let it do its thing. The batteries are smart enough to do it right.

Most users leave the phone charging (and connected to Wi-Fi) overnight, so the phone is fully charged, synced and updated for use during the day.

Lithium batteries do not suffer from any memory effect, and never have. You’re thinking of much older battery technology, notably nickel metal hydride batteries, which have not been in much use at all for over 20 years now.

No industry standard SMART Lithium battery can be overcharged. It is inherent in the standards that such batteries, in any and all devices, include overcharge protection.
