Hello i just bought an Iphone 7 32gb iOS 11.1.1
The problem is that i cant adjust volume on video call only ( Messenger & Whats app ), the sound remain the same level even if the volume indicator indicates that I am driving down or raising the sound the sound remain the same but in audio call the volume respond .
i already uninstall apps and re install, do soft reset even erasing all content on my iphone but the problem is still here

I have the same problem on my iPhone 8. Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp video calls are apparently at max volume and I can’t change them. On WhatsApp I tried changing the volume while I was ringing someone and that worked, but as soon as the video call was answered I have no control. Someone suggested enabling the change with buttons option but that only changes the volume of the ringer and alerts. This is a media volume problem. Plus on my other iOS devices I have always had this switched off anyway and it’s never been an issue.

Please check: Settings>Sounds&Haptics>Change with buttons.... should be ON (green).

An update for you. I’ve had my iPhone 8 replaced because of another issue. My replacement is doing the same thing so it’s clearly a software problem.
Already update to iso 11.1.2

You’d have to speak to Apple about that. But I don’t think it’s a problem with your phone. If you get another one it will probably do the same thing.
My cousin has the same phone without any problem in it and i live in Mauritius island its difficult to be in contact with apple
