ringtone did not transfer to my new phone

I have a new SE, all the ringtones I created which was playing well on my previous SE did not transfer to my new SE.

So I tried to copy & paste my ringtones to my new SE but the pop up message keep saying that "whatever.m4r was not copied to iPhone because it cannot be played on this phone".

OK, what's going on? Is there any solution for this issue?

iPhone SE, iOS 11.1

Hello marthaleung,

Thanks for checking out the Apple Support Communities. I am happy to look at this with you.

Where are these ringtones? Are they in iTunes or on your computer? Can they be redownloaded? I ask because the article about the changes with the new iTunes states: Changes in the new iTunes - Apple Support

If you have an iOS app, ringtone, or book that's no longer available for redownload, you can move that content to your iOS device while plugged in to a computer with a USB cable

That article is saying to you can still use iTunes to sync them over to the new device. This is the help article linked from the quote above: Manually manage content on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iTunes - Apple Support

Thanks and have a great day.
