Photos doesn't recognize RAW anymore

Since updating to High Sierra my Photos app doesn't recognize my RAW files anymore. And why does it always begin with the welcome page instead opening up my photos?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.1)
