Maps issue

When I try to use the maps app, it will find my location and also my destination. However, when I hit “go” it speaks to me to go to the start point but after that it does nothing. The cursor does not map my route and I don’t get instructions as junctions or roundabouts approach. So effectively it’s not working. Any help much appreciated.
