I have plenty of iCloud storage 5 GB and have only used 96.2 MB. But I can't backup because I am told I don't have enough storage. What's going on? iPhone 6S and iOS 11.1.1.

No, these sites don't help. My problem is not so much as a matter of not completing, rather it is the false claim that I don't have "enough iCloud storage available." Which is, of course, ridiculous. I've go oodles of storage available.
If you go to Settings/Your Name/iCloud/Storage/Manage Storage, how big is your backup?
My Backup is only 44 MB. (My iCloud storage is 5 GB as previously noted, but in "General" settings, my "iPhone Storage" is 34.6 GB of 64 GB, Is that a problem?)
