Phone keeps on freezing?

Say I’m playing a game that requires for my phone to be horizontal. I’ll exit the app, and I won’t be able to click on any other apps. I’ll lock my phone, and the lock screen will be horizontal as well but my phone is vertical. It takes a minute for my phone to stop being horizontal. It’s been happening a lot lately.
