MacBook Pro 2017 and Satechi Pro Hub

Hello world,

I have a problem with my 15 inch MacBook Pro 2017 when using the Satechi Pro Hub. When I connect the hub to the 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports on the left side, the hub does not support USB 3.0 (only USB 2.0) despite manufacturers claims that it does. I wanted to return the hub but then I connected in to the two Thunderbolt 3 ports on the right side - everything is working, ports on the hub now support USB 3.0.

Any ides why?
