How come iPhone's Notes datas do not show up in MacBook Pro's Notes app?

Hello. How come iPhones (6+; iOS v11.1) Notes' newer app datas (hundreds of them) do not show up in MacBook Pro (Mac OS El Capitan v10.12.6)'s Notes app (only five of them)? This is without iCloud (no data seen in iCloud.com too and will stay disabled) too. How does one view the backed up Notes datas in a Mac? Or did I miss something? Thank you in advance.
