iCloud Family Sharing

Hope someone can help.

I have an iCloud storage account. My husband has his own iCloud storage account. I want to merge the two accounts into a family account.

My husband is paranoid about me cancelling his iCloud account in order that I can upgrade my account to family storage. We are not so worried about the kids storage accounts but I'm sure they do!

We'd like to merge the accounts without deleting first. Is this possible please?

Nothing actually gets deleted, cancelled, moved, or merged. Family Storage Plan is pretty much just an accounting change.

Set up Family Sharing, if you haven’t already, and invite everyone to join. The Organizer needs to subscribe to either the 200 GB or 2T iCloud Storage plan. At this point each of the members will have an option to switch their plan to the Family Storage Plan, which now is shown as an option to them, like any other storage plan.
