iPhone X Messages App Crashing

The messages app hasn’t work since I first turned on my iPhone X. It’s on the latest version of iOS so I’m just waiting for a phone call from Apple to see what it could be. I can reply to messages from the lock screen and share links via messages I just can’t go into the app without it crashing.

Just finished talking on the phone with Apple and now working again. Just had to reset the settings

As in clear it from my open windows? Yeah I’ve done that after every attempt just in case. I’ve turned the phone off a few times as well but still nothing.

The only other thing I can think of right now is to reset network settings.

Messages froze on me around 12 Noon Pacific time. It completely froze the display so I did the hard reset then I went in an out of Airplane mode. Messages now working!
