A1407 Display compatibility with New MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

I am thinking of upgrading my MacBook Pro laptop to the new touch bar version. However I have two A1407 thunderbolt displays and I wonder if anyone can tell me if the MacBook Pro will run on them? I haven't been able to to get a 12" MacBook to work so don't what to spend £2000 and find I need to sell my A1407s.
