High CPU WindowServer

Currently experiencing a problem where the WindowServer process would hover between 15-20% causing a very laggy user experience.

This happened after I upgraded from macOS Sierra.

I'm using

macOS High Sierra (17B48)

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.1)
