sections of tracks missing after upgrade

After updating Mac OS and opening a Logic Pro x project (that was saved 2 weeks prior to the update), we made some changes, saved to a new name and found some parts of tracks from two weeks ago are missing. Was able to import the tracks from the previous version and salvaged what we could. Is anyone else experiencing this?
