Bluetooth Audio Devices Not Discovered on MacBook Pro (Retina, mid-2012)

Hello,

On my MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012) I cannot get Bluetooth headphones to be discovered in the Bluetooth menu or Preference pane. I've tried two different sets of headphones - Bose Series 35 Series I, and Sennheiser Momentum. I could not get either to be discovered on by my MacBook Pro. I could get each device to connect to my iPhone, iPad and a PC no problem, so I know those devices are working. Additionally, my Magic Trackpad connects fine to my MBP.

So far, I've tried restarting my MBP, toggling Bluetooth on and off, remove all Bluetooth devices and resetting the Bluetooth module by way of the hidden menu. None of that helped. No USB devices are connected to the laptop.

Is there anything left to try? Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Will

Edit: macOS Sierra 10.12.6 is installed.

macOS Sierra (10.12), Core i7 2.3ghz, 8gb RAM, 256 SSD
