mail sort trash by deleted date

How can I sort the mac mail trash folder by the date mail was deleted?

When I accidentally delete a piece of mail, I need to get it back. There is no way to easily find what I just deleted because the mail folder only has date sent/received.

This question was posted to this community in 2006 and never answered.

One post I found out there, a guy had a custom field called "number", added that column to the view and sorted by that field, but that was a custom field not available in vanilla mail.
