Clicking a link in an Outlook e-mail opens my Chrome homepage, instead of opening the link.

I stupidly cleaned my keyboard without unplugging it first, and appear to have not only summoned a demon, but can't open links from Outlook now. It just opens a new window with my home page, rather than opening the link. Please help me...this is the most irritating thing I have ever encountered (including the demon).
