New iMac opened iTunes and missing most of my movies. How do I retrieve them?

There is no guarantee that anything will be available in the cloud. You should always maintain backup copy of everything.

You can re download some purchases :

You would copy them from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer.

I can't start my old iMac. I thought itunes was in the cloud?
