Software upgrade

Trying to upgrade my software. It will go to “request download” but never goes past that step. Not sure what the next step would be? Notice that it is not wanting to complete a update on apps as well. Thoughts?

Hi tdbmd. The next step after "Download Requested" is "Downloading". Is there any chance that your router is blocking some apple.com URLs, or IP addresses in the 17.* range? Because it sounds like the request is not reaching the server.
