MacBook Pro won't pass white screen

Okay guys I have a 2011 MacBook Pro. I was trying to do an upgrade to the latest system(forgot the name). During the upgrade when it restarted the white bar showed, a bit into it, the screen flashed some lines and restarted. And we're now here. I can restart it, it'll boot up with the apple logo, about half way into the progress bar it'll all go white screen and stay there for hours with fan alternating high and low.

I've tried to hold options down, go to recovery disc but does nothing.

I reset the ram whatever cmd opt r s does. It restarts and does the same thing.

I've pressed command r and nothing at all happens but the regular half progress then white screen.

I've tried the online recovery, globe shows up, finishes loading then reboots and does the same thing.

I did command s to get into the command prompt thing, a bunch of commands later I do a quick disk check by typing fsck? Not sure exact wording but it says base disk os checks out okay. I exit first time and doesn't exit till second command then reboots into same thing.

I've also restarted into safe mode but once it boots while still holding shift it just restarts. Doesn't actually start.

I can't get to the disk utility to re install my os.

It's very frustrating right now.
