After Effects? OS? Monitor? I dunno

This is bizarre. So i just updated from Adobe cc 2017 to 2018. nMP with 2 thunderbolt monitors. Also updated to hi sierra. I thought i was done with a project so i figured good time to do so. Turns out im not done with the project. Great. Anyway, so i fire up After Effects. Looks good, and now any pulldown in the effects window do not work on my second monitor. The pulldowns DO work in the timeline. I just dragged the effects window back to the 1st monitor and it works......im completely stumped. Dont even know where to begin to troubleshoot....is this an OS issue? After Effects?
