Question: can watch 3 be paired to car audio

I have watch 3 with cellular. I am trying to pair (through Bluetooth) the watch to the speakers/car audio on my 2017 Hyundai Sonata Limited w/Nav unit. The watch and the car recognize each, I get a code for both the watch and the car and when I tap connect on my watch the search for Bluetooth connection always times out. My Iphone is paired to the car so I press new device to disconnect the phone and start Bluetooth search for the watch.

Whilst some users have reported success with pairing Apple Watch with certain car Bluetooth systems, Apple advises that iPhone, iPad and iPod touch are the only devices that are designed for use with car audio systems.


Apple Watch can be paired with compatible Bluetooth headphones and Bluetooth speakers, but it is not designed to be paired with car audio systems:
