After updating to el Capitan (macbook Pro Late 2011) my monitor seems to have a very high contrast, I can't see all the tabs and icons.

My macbook's contrast is too high after updating from Lion to el capitan. my macbook pro is 15 inch late 2011. i can't seem to see all the icons and tabs in the finder or safari/chrome etc.

not sure what the issue is, I've tried to play with the brightness and done all the updates.

Thanks in advance.
