Photos for OSX. Duplicates.

Hi everyone,

I am using 3rd party software to detect duplicates in Apple Photos. I want to delete the duplicates but I have a concern.

I have images in both the main Photo library and also in Events.

Is this WHY I have duplicates because some images are in the Photos library and the same image in an event?

Here's how my images ended up in an event.

1. I imported Photos from my iPhone

2. I created an event

3. From the 'Import' album I copied the contents to the event via copy/paste.

Now will this method of creating photos into an event also create duplicates?
