PRAM reset not working!

My MacBook has trackpad/keyboard issues, and the only way to make them work is by doing a PRAM reset. Recently, the PRAM reset doesn't work anymore, just cutting to the apple logo immediately. I don't know how to make it work, as I've tried connecting to another keyboard (that works!) and perform the PRAM reset there. It only sometimes works but periodically it doesn't. Please help!
