New Pages Version version 6.3.1 problem with Toolbar

New Pages version 6.3.1 has a serious problem insofar any change and personalisation made on the toolbar is saved only temporarily and the next day I find it reset. This is EXTREMELY annoying. Is there a fix? Guess same problem occurs with Numbers.

macOS High Sierra (10.13.1), Pages 6.3.1.
