I'd like to know how I can log on to the iTunes app

iPhone 8 plus

IOS 11.1.1

I've deleted and redownloaded the app 5 times

It says the password is invalid but when I follow the instructions to resolve it just goes in a never ending circle of entering the same info only to be told I can't log on
