Yes, if you maintain the same Apple ID and restore the new iphone from your previously made backup (via iCloud or via iTunes), you'll find all your apps and related data data on the new device.

Keep in mind that with current iOS 11.1.1 apps written with 32bit architecture are no longer compatible (only 64bit apps can work).

I suggest that you read some support articles like these:

Ok i will just throw it out there... my wife has had an iphone for two years and would not back it up .she said she didnt understand how to recover her info ,but anyways . Our granddaughter broke her phone all she was able to get was pictures out of it . She got a new iphone and hooked her apple id to it . That was a few months ago. We was messing with her phone the other day and i went to app store to get picture app and seen that tinder had the cloud with the arrow that told me that she had downloaded tinder on her new phone .of course she said the information in app stire carried over to new phone because it was same apple id .So is that a fact or not becouse she never backed up her old phone .. I apologize for the drown out crap

Yes it is a fact: the App Store remembers which apps you have downloaded with your Apple ID.

If you access the App Store with your Apple ID on another device (like a new iPhone), you will see the cloud with arrow icon near each application that you have ever downloaded with the Apple ID and is not currently installed on that device.

In a nutshell, your daughter tells the truth. She might have installed Tinder once, potentially deleted it without using it, but the App Store will show the cloud with the arrow.

I hope this helps...

Now I got it.

1. When you download an app from AppStore, that "purchase" (even if free of charge) remains tied to the Apple ID used to download it, so that you can delete it from your iPhone, but the app is still available when you want it back.

2. If you don't make a backup (via iTunes or via iCloud), when you set up a new iphone with the same Apple ID, you can't transfer your old data, apps, photos, settings, from old to new device, so that you must set up everything (and install again all apps you downloaded, and yes they have a cloud symbol on the right, but it's not your iCloud storage, it means that those apps are saved among your purchased apps)

3. I strongly recommend that every user make a backup of his/her iPhone content frequently, to avoid any risks.

4. Recover (or restore) info from a backup is a quick and easy operation. In addition to what I've already sent in my first reply, please read this:

My english is not good, I know, but I hope you understand.

Let me know if everything is clear now.
